Luke 10:39-42 records that when Jesus visited the home of two sisters-Mary and Martha-Mary "sat at the Lord's feet listening to what He said" while Martha "was distracted by all the preparations that had to made" for serving their guest. Feeling the pressure of the urgent, Martha said to Jesus, "`Lord, don't you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!'" But Jesus responded, "`Martha, Martha, ... you are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.'"

Strive to concentrate on important activities first, no matter how many urgent activities are pressing for your attention at a given time.
